1st Copthorne Rainbows
have spent the first term of the year working
towards the ‘Woolly Sheep Challenge’ devised
by 1st Welshpool Brownies. For our girls to
achieve their Challenge badge they were
given most of the term to complete as many
different sheep related activities as possible.
The activities included; making sheep
marshmallows, sheep bookmarks and sheep
masks. Much fun was had by all (including
the leaders!) and we are looking forward to
completing our ‘Butterfly Challenge’ badge
this coming term!

Philippa had been volunteering as a leader for
many years in Nottingham until her move to Horley
when she became involved with Guiding in Sussex
as an adviser, a Division Commissioner for Worth
and now as a District Leader with Copthorne.
2nd Copthorne Guides held an
Easter Extravaganza and enjoyed time at the
beach to complete the Seashore badge from the
Growing Up Wild series. They enjoyed egg and
spoon races on the beach, painting pebbles and
a chip challenge!
Two Guides chose to have the Promise
Ceremony at the seaside.
