Copthorne Village Association
We’ll be at the Copthorne Carnival on 24th June, so please pop in to have a chat,
pay your membership or join the Association.
Memberships are currently being collected and NEW MEMBERS ARE ALWAYS WELCOME – £5 per year per
household – or make a donation – we cannot continue our efforts to organise the village’s voice without your
support. The more members we have the greater our impact.

cheque (payable to Copthorne Village Association) with your house number and street name as reference on

Please contact us if you can offer a few hours a year to collect the annual membership subs in a particular road.
Annual General Meeting – Members (and those wishing to join the CVA) are invited to the AGM at
Copthorne Village Hall on Thursday 13th July at 7.30 pm.
Why not join our Committee? New members with an interest in the issues that affect Copthorne are always
welcome. We meet on alternate months, for about an hour and a half, with an AGM in July. You will be most
Gatwick Issues – The Government is at present consulting on the Draft Airports National Policy statement,
which gives effect to the Heathrow Runway Decision. There is still the opportunity for the decision to choose
between Heathrow and Gatwick.
CAGNE (Campaign Against Gatwick Noise & Emissions) and GACC (Gatwick Area Conservation Campaign)
have the best grasp of how Copthorne is affected now, and will be in the future, and we suggest you follow
both these campaign groups.
