What’s been happening at Francis Court?
Hello Carolyn Tyrer here, Customer Relations Manager for Francis Court Care Home in Copthorne with one
of my regular updates on some great events we have coming up in Francis Court Care Home.
• Firstly a big thank you! to all of you who have donated wool to our residents for the PDSA and dropped
this into our Doggy Bootie box in our reception area, the booties and blanket knitting is going great and we
have made lots to keep the dogs warm. When they are having operations or are generally unwell, dogs
lose heat from their feet, so booties really help them to stay warm, please keep those donations coming
into us as these are really appreciated by our knitting group.
• On the 6th June 2017 we have our Understanding Dementia talk, 2pm-4pm at Francis Court Care Home,
and the Speaker for this will be Dr Nori Graham who is very interactive and an expert in this field. This
event is RSVP so please let me know if you would like to come along and join us for the talk and enjoy
tea, coffee and biscuits with us as well.
• On the 16th June 2017 we are having a CARE HOME OPEN DAY – GRAND GARDEN PARTY in our
grounds, we have a Fabulous Jazz band playing, various singers throughout the day, face painting for
children and adults, and a BBQ will be served at lunchtime by our two resident chefs. Grand afternoon tea
will also be served as will Tea/Coffee and juice, there will be garden games and much more going on! It
will be a lot of fun, everyone is invited, please RSVP if you would like to attend this event! It will run from
11.30am – 4.30pm, so please bring your children, friends and relatives to enjoy this day with our staff and
residents. We hope the weather will be kind to us but if it isn’t we will still have the Garden party under a
marquee so please still come along and join us all.
To reserve your place at any of our events please email RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org or call me on
