We have had a very busy term! All sections took part in the annual sports day with the Guides.
On 27th May, 19 cubs from Ash and Oak pack went to Walton Firs in Cobham for a week’s summer camp. The camp had a Harry Potter theme: they made broomsticks, played quidditch, took part in wide games, built dens in the woods, did crate stacking, caving, skittles, nightline and frisbee golf. They also went to Brooklands Motor Museum, where they went on Concorde and on the way home they visited Brocketts Farm.
Ash Pack cubs also handed over a cheque for £291 to Kent, Surrey and Sussex air ambulance. They raised the money baking cakes and then holding an auction to sell them. Oak pack cubs have been doing fire lighting and rifle shooting. Smugglers beavers visited Pets at home and Tilgate Park, while Voyagers beavers went to Blacklands and took part in low ropes, aero ball and the traverse wall. Scott troop scouts went on a hike and have been kayaking.
Mallory troop scouts have been doing their air activities badge and visited Gatwick Aviation museum. Finally, on 24th June the group took part in the Copthorne Carnival.
