On 5th Aug 25 the Scouts went to Ardingly Showground for a week’s camp, called WS2017. This is a camp for Scouts and Guides from West Sussex and around the world. We had 14 Austrian Scouts camping with us. The Scouts enjoyed a fun packed week which involved 8 activity zones and nightly discos and entertainment. The activities varied from water aid games to kayaking, from wand making to quad biking. The theme of the camp was Harry Potter and everyone had a magical time.
While at WS2017, Owen and Stephen were awarded the County Commissioner Commendation and the guides Thanks Badge for going above and beyond the call of duty.
The Cubs and Beavers visited WS2017 on the Wednesday and despite the weather had a great day trying some of the activities and looking round the site.
On 22nd July 14 Cubs from Ash Pack spent the weekend at Chatham Dockyard, where they looked round the dockyard, took part in drills and spent the night on HMS Cavalier
