Brace yourselves for two hours of wickedly funny entertainment as the talented team from Copthorne Players returns to Chequer Mead (5th – 7th October) in Little Shop of Horrors, the musical send up of 1950s sci-fi B movies. The show features one hit song after another, with a lot of surprises and some fabulously scary moments as the misadventures of geeky Skid Row florist Seymour Krelborn are revealed. Audrey 2 promises fame, fortune and the girl of his dreams if he will just “Feed Me”, which Seymour does, and the beastly botanical grows into a giant, bad mannered, vulgar carnivore. Tickets are on sale from the box office (01342 302000) so book now to make sure you don’t miss this fantastic show!
Hot on the heels of Little Shop of Horrors comes the Panto – oh yes it does! Although it seems far too early to be thinking about Christmas, in order to secure the cast, get rehearsals underway and enjoy the festivities Copthorne Players will be launching their Pantomime, Dick Whittington, on Wednesday 11th October in the Delmar Morgan Hall, Copthorne Bank. Anyone who is interested in being involved should contact John Barnett (firstname.lastname@example.org) for more information or just come along at 8pm on 11th to find out what it’s all about.
New members are very welcome and whether you are looking to appear on stage or help behind the scenes there is plenty to do.
