We are extremely pleased to report that since our last article in the Copthorne Magazine, a number of residents have put their names forward to assist with a new Speedwatch Scheme, run through Worth Parish Council. Please note, it is not too late to put your name forward if you too are interested. The
next stage for the reintroduction of the scheme is now in the hands of the Traf c Police Department responsible for Speedwatch operations thoughout the county. The next phase is for them to undertake risk assessments for all identi ed sites around the village and to undertake full and comprehensive training for all operators. Obviously this will take a little time to put in place, for the safety of all concerned.
Sincere thanks to everyone for their interest and the very postitive comments concerning the reintroduction of the scheme. Please contact our clerk at Worth Parish Council if further information is required. We do hope that by the next issue of the magazine, the scheme will be up and running.
It has been interesting to learn that inconsiderate and dangerous parking around our villages has now come to the attention our Emergency Services. It has been reported recently that access for some emergency vehicles has proved impossible due to bad and restrictive parking which could prove life threatening in the event of a re, for example. Please help keep our village safe for everyone by parking responsibly.
