The Eastern region has always been a popular pick for meeting planners looking to book group business. It's easy to see why, with data showing 58 percent of the U.S. population lives east of the Mississippi.
Accessibility is a major draw for the Eastern region, which is home to some of the nation's largest airport and Amtrak hubs, in addition to its extensive drive-in market.

Northstar's Destination East event, to be held Oct. 19-21 at The Desmond Hotel in Albany, N.Y., will provide planners with the unique opportunity to meet one-on-one with more than 40 suppliers from throughout the region.
